Exhibition of Korean traditional knots
1982-10-05 ~ 1982-10-31
This exhibition is organized by Gwangju National Museum and MaedeupYeonguwon (A Society for the Study of Korean Knots). The exhibition aims to remind of Korean tradition as arts. Total 205 pieces including 38 pieces of Joseon artifacts and current knots adapting traditional methods are exhibited from the 5th October 1982 to the 31st October 1982.
Exhibition of Picasso's ceramic art

This special exhibition was the exhibition of National Museum of Contemporary Art, Korea and opens at Gwangju National Museum. In this special exhibition 186 pieces of Picasso's artifacts are displayed, a great artist of modern art. The exhibition opens from the 16th September 1982 to 26th September 1982.
Exhibition of new objects

We moved some objects in permanent exhibition rooms to display new objects. The exhibition is focused on artists in Honam such as Yun Duseo and Heo Lyeon and also tries to show the flow of Joseon paintings and artists such as Jeong Cheol, Lee Un, Gang Sehwang, Lee Inmun and Sim Sajeong.
Exhibition of Joseon Pictures and Calligraphic Works

'Exhibition of Joseon Pictures and Calligraphic Works' opens for the 3rd anniversary of Gwangju National Museum. Total 95 pieces of objects including calligraphies, noblemen's albums, Jingyeong Landscape paintings are displayed from the 5th December 1981 to 28th February 1982.
Exhibition of Joseon Calligraphy

This special exhibition which is organized by National Museum of Korea re-opens at Gwangju National Museum for the 2nd anniversary of Gwangju National Museum. This exhibition which opens from the 5th December 1980 to the 20th February 1981 will be a great opportunity to have understanding of Joseon calligraphy and artists.
Exhibition of portraits in the Joseon Dynasty
