66. Jar coffins of Saeteo in Dane-myeon and Hahwa in Hwapyeong-ri
● Location: Hahwa, Hapyeong-ri, Daema-myeon, Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do Province and Saeteo, Bona-ri, Gunseo-myeon, Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do Province
● Period: 1988. 11
● Contents: By the investigation of cultural heritages, 2 jar coffins was appeared on the rill in Hwapyeong-ri. Two-mouth potteries were excavated from around jar coffins and few iron objects were found. 2 jar coffins of Saeteo were investigated to avoid damage. Excavated objects are beads, irol objects and earthenware.
65. Jar coffin of Shingeum, Bonghak-ri, Haenam
● Location: Singeum, Bonghak-ri, Samsan-myeon, Haenam-gun, Jeollanam-do Province
● Period: 1987. 11
● Contents: The jar coffin which was investigated during flowerbed working had a damaged cap stone. The big jar is typical U-shaped and has a hole of 15cm in diameter.
64. Nong-am Jar Coffin in Wonjin-ri in Haenam
● Location: Nong-am, Wonjin-ri, Haenam-gun, Jeollanam-do Province
● Period: 1987. 04. 29 ~ 05. 02
● Contents: Earthenware and iron tools were found during farming work. Through investigating, 3 jar coffins were discovered. Inside the 1st jar coffin was painted with red color and there was a hole in the bottom of the 3rd jar coffin. The entrances of the 2nd and 3rd jars were tied with belts and that is a different characteristic with jar coffins in riverside of the Yeongsan River. Excavated objects are Cheoljeong (lumps of iron used as currency), iron axes, swords and potteries.
63. Chopo-ri in Hampyeong
● Location: 383-4 San, Chopo-ri, Nasan-myeon, Hampyeong-gun, Jeollanam-do Province
● Period: 1987. 02. 22 ~ 02. 27
● Contents: During repairing, a lot of bronze objects were found and applied for the Buried Cultural Heritages. The number of objects is total 26 and it includes 4 swords, 2 hats, 1 chinese sword and 1 bronze axe. Also 3 mirrors, beads and 2 jewelries. This is considered as an essential site to study the bronze culture of this area.
62. Tomb hills in Naju
● Location: Daean-ri, Shnchon-ri and Deoksan-ri in Bannam-myeon, Naju
● Period: 1986. 10. 16 ~ 11. 24
● Contents: The group of Bannam tombs was firstly excavated in this area and partly introduced on a report in 1940. This investigation aims to gather more information about the tombs to publish a report about the tomb.
61. Groups of tomb of Wauri in Yeong-am Group of tombs of Wau-ri in Yeong-am
● Location: Wau-ri, Sijong-myeon, Yeong-am-gun
● Period: 1986. 05. 25 ~ 06. 12
● Contents: During farming work potteries were found and investigated. Tombs are highly located on the fill and are small circular tombs of 10m in diameter and 1m in height. Big mouth potteries and daggers were excavated.
60. Jingdeung Stone Champer Tomb of Bongso-ri of Yeong-am The excavation of Bongso-ri stone chamber tomb in Yeong-am
● Location: Bongso-ri, Sijong-myeon, Yeong-am-gun
● Period: 1985. 09
● Contents: We collected and reorganized pieces of ruined square stone room. The size of the stone room is 3.0m in length and 1.4m in height. The bottom is made of yellow clay and some stone were mixed. Potteries were excavated.
59. Yongsan Tombs of Seokcheon-ri of Naju
● Location: Yongsan, Seokcheon-ri, Bannam-myeon, Naju
● Period: 1985. 09
● Contents: Even though there were 5-6 jar coffin tombs on the hill behind of Yongsan village, all of them were ruined by a development project. We collected pieces of jar coffins and hard potteries and investigated ruined jar coffins. We found potteries and iron tools from the bottom of the ruined jar coffin.
58. Gyeyang jar coffin of Seonhwang-ri in Yeong-am
● Location: Seonhwang-ri, Miam-myeon, Yeong-am-gun
● Period: 1985. 09
● Contents: This jar coffin was found during investigating the distribution of tombs in Yeong-am-gun. The shape of the jar coffin is different with coffins founded in riverside of the Yeongsan River and total length is 186cm. This jar coffin is considered as an important resources to find out the developing progress of jar coffins.
57. Jogam tomb of Susan-ri of Yeong-am
● Location: Susan-ri, Dopo-myeon, Yeong-am-gun
● Period: 1985. 09
● Contents: This tomb was found during the investigation of Yeong-am. Mounted potteries and plate-shaped potteries were excavated from ruined the stone room. The jar coffin which was placed 1m away from the stone room is 275m in length and the mouth is closed with clay.
