● Contents : Manuichong consisting of 3 tombs
was authorized as the 6th Folklore Materials
of Haenam-gun on the 7th January 2001. It
was known as a tomb that armies in the cause
of justice of a war in 1597 were buried however,
the fact was discovered that it was a stone
chamber tomb of the Three Kingdoms Age between
the 5th and the 6th century through the excavation
about the 1st tumulus by Donshin University
in 2006. |

Hwasun-gun, Jeollanam-do Province

● Purpose: The excavation aims to invest more
about excavated bronze objects from Daegok-ri
which were authorized as the 143rd National
Treasure in 1971 and also to know the extent
of distribution of tombs in the period. |

● Purpose: We estimate that this is a remain
of the beginning for the Iron Age relating
to ancestors’ huge jar coffins. This excavation
aims to find the culture of tumulus in Naju
and related resources about the sites of the
beginning of the Iron Age. |

area around excavated site of bronze objects
of Daegok-ri |

● Period: 2007.11.28-2007.12.12
● Purpose: Using GPR, we invest other cultural
properties and obtain basic information to
build new method of research.
● Contents: In this investigation, we could
not find tomb or objects related to National
Bronze Treasures but discovered 4 tombs of
the Joseon Age. In the future, we will have
an excavation and research about grave pits
of the excavated objects surrounding areas.

between Cheomdam Buhun Hospital and Sandonggyogwan
and to obtain academic resources about the
beginning of the Iron Age of the area. |

sites between Gwangju and Jangseong |

● Location: Highway between Gwangju and
Jangseong, Sinchang-dong, Gwangju
● Period: 2005.3.30~2005.6.27
● Contents: The investigation was held in
4 areas. In the site 1, 1 living site of plain
coarse potteries, one kiln site of the Three-Kingdoms
Age, one small jar coffin were found. The
living place was authorized as the 375th Historic
Sites. In the sites 2 & 3, a small swampy
place was discovered and a group of living
places of the Proto-Three Kingdoms Age and
a waterway of the Joseon Age were investigated
in the site 4. |

● Location:
● Period: 2005.1.13~1.28
● Contents: Gageo-do shell mound, the 130th
Local Monuments, has been an important material
to study culture of the Neolithic Age in seaside
of the South-western Sea. Through the excavation,
we could find the progress and size of the
shell mound and various objects made of the
earth, stone and bones. The period of objects
in the shell mound was from the early Neolithic
age to the late Neolithic age and the main
periods of the shell mound were the early
and late Neolithic age. Through the objects,
we could see the fact that wood processing,
felling, farming and fishing were actively
done. |

● Location: The area to set up Dongrim IC
on the road of Pyeongdongsandan in Gwangju
● Period: 2004.10.29~11.12
● Contents: We focus on identifying the shape
of land caused by changes of riverbed and
ancient environment. We consider that the
earth from the low hill of Shinchang-dong
remains and the layer of foreshore made of
sediment caused early agriculture in the area.
