This special exhibition aims to show the
progress of development of Korean paintings
from modern paintings to current paintings.
We chose about 90 pieces of objects from
of representative painters in the late of
Joseon Age such as Heo Ryeon, Heo Hyeong,
Heo Baekryeon, Jang Seung-up, Lee Haung,
An Jungsik, Jeon Ki, Jeong Cheol and Min
Yeong-ik. The exhibition is from the 19th
Septermber to the 5th November.

of various ancient tools and changes of
lifestyles from the Prehistoric Age to the
Iron Age. The exhibition consists of 10
subjects including Appearance of tools,
Development of polishing skills, Production
of earthenware, Development of farming,
Appearance of bronze tools. The exhibition
is from the 25th October 1994 to the 26th
November. |

of Museung Mountain |

This exhibition is to introduce cultural
heritages of Mudeung-san Mountain to broaden
visitors’ extent of understanding. Total
265 pieces of objects including stone diggers
excavated from dolmens of Chunghyo-dong
provides various sources to have understanding
of culture and characteristics of the area
of the Mudeung Mountain. The exhibition
opens from the 11th October 1993 to the
4th November 1993.

of Korean Jar Coffin |

Celebrating ’97 Gwangju Biennale, “Exhibition
Industrial Art with Silver-thread Decoration”
organized by National Museum of Korea is
exhibited in Gwanju National Museum to show
Korean traditional metal craft from Three-Kingdoms
Age to the Joseon Age to domestic and international
visitors. Total 120 pieces of objects are
exhibited from the 25th August 1997 to the
12th October 1997.

This exhibition displays objects relating
to jar coffin to show the culture of jar
coffin since the Prehistoric Age. Total
318 pieces of objects including a jar coffin
in Songsan of Wolsong-ri are displayed from
the 17th November 1992 to the 13th December
1992. |
