“Haseo Kim Inhu and Pil-am Auditorium” exhibition is designed to display 31 pieces of donated objects and approximately 70 pieces of object which were chosen as National Treasures.
We hope that this special exhibition may be a good chance to see the flow of Honam confucianist scholars and develop cultural identity and pride.

Gwangju National Museum and Samsung Children’s Museum opens a special exhibition from the 10th July to the 2nd September for children to learn values and use of money.
The exhibition is divided into 3 sections; “Kinds and history of money”, “Values of money” and “Design of money”.

Special Exhibition of ‘The blue South Sea, shell mound from Ando of 6000 years’

Gwangju National Museum opens a special exhibition to open the results of the excavation in Ando shell mounds in Yeosu from the 2nd January 2007 to the 6th April 2007 and has a lecture for the public on the 12th January.
This exhibition will be a good opportunity to know ancient people’s way of thinking and art 6000 years ago. Also we can see various records about the progress from excavation to exhibition and local residents’ current lives.

Special Exhibition of ‘Mystery of Jewel Beetles in Archaeology’

Gwangju National Museum opens an exhibition of ‘Mystery of Jewel Beetles in Archaeology’ from the 19th March 2007 to 20th May 2007. About 20 pieces of objects with decorates made of Jewel Beetles’ wings were excavated from Geumgwan and Hwangnam tombs in Gyeongju are displayed to see the making methods and the meaning of bugs in archaeology.
