All sorts of nature dyeing festival exhibition displays the result of the knot education program and nature dyeing education program in Gwangju national museum.

Various traditional knots have been used as life tools, and settled down in life as Korean unique life art.
Together, Gwangju national museum wishes that the excellence of Korean nature dyeing develops diversely.
This exhibition will be a good chance to meet various nature dyeing and knots closely. We hope you can feel the beauty and excellence of them.

Gwangju national museum opens "the 100th Anniversary of Korean museums" photo exhibition together with Suncheon university museum · Naju city, commemorating the 100th Anniversary of Korean museums.
This exhibition has a distant view of 20th century history, and searches for development plan. This exhibition is composed of 3 parts. Part 1 displays that tradition museums come into modern museums. Part 2 introduces public and private museums of Gwangju · Chonnam region that is the treasure warehouse of art city. Part 3 gives information about the 100th Anniversary of Korean museums, the renovation of Gwangju national museum and the vision of Yeongsan river national museum.
Suncheon university museum exhibits from the 20th October to the 15th November. And Naju dyeing culture museum exhibits from 23th November to 20th December.

This year, it have been 100 years since Korean Empire opens the Imperial Museum of Korea that is the fist museum of modern times. And it is the 30th anniversary of Gwangju National Museum this year. In addition, Exhibition Hall will have been renovated extensively from 2009 to 2010.
So commemorating this, Gwangju National Museum opens the 100th Anniversary of Korean museums photo exhibition.

Gwangju National Museum opens the special exhibition, "Maehwa blossom that blossoms as pictures", commemorating the 100th Anniversary of Korean museums in the New Year.
This exhibition shows both of them, "Masterpieces of Choson Dynasty and Works of modern artists".
We wish the citizens to smell the perfume of maehwa blossom that blossoms as pictures.
