Layer of rice hulls, Shinchang-dong Sinchang-dong, Gwanju The biggest characteristic of remains of Sinchang-dong is the layer of rice hulls. The layer is made of rice hulls and other grass and its thickness is maximum 155cm. Most of them are hulls from the polishing rice, however, there are still much amount of rice without grain.
