Liaoning type bronze dagger & etc
Jeokryang-dong of Yeosu & etc
Bronze arrowheads, spearheads and daggers excavated from Jeollanam-do areas. A characteristic of Korean bronze daggers is that blades and shafts were made separately and combined later. It was also called mandolin-shaped bronze dagger because the blade looks like a mandolin, a Chinese musical instrument.
It is estimated that shafts were made of wood because few shafts made of bronze have been found. The decoration on the end of shafts for the center of gravity is made of light bronze.
Liaoning type bronze daggers are mainly found in stone cists, dolmens and stone mounds on hills. The bronze daggers were used from the 8th B.C to the 5th B.C. stone knives, stone arrow-heads, burnished red potteries, violin-shaped spears and fan-shaped axes were also found in the same places and we may call the culture “Culture of Liaoning type bronze dagger”
